I'm a big Oolong tea fan and your Srina Oolong is just delicious! I prefer it over any other brand because its so smooth and tastes divine! I have around 4 cups everyday from just one teaspoon! The packaging is so unique, what is it made from? The natural look is very attractive especially the basket!!

Oolong "2", Young Hyson "0" I have noticed that most new tea drinkers or those who want to make the transition from coffee to tea (HINT! HINT!) like the smooth taste to it unlike other green teas which are usually bitter (Our Young Hyson isn't bitter either, just strong!) And Oolong is referred to as the in between green tea because it is a mix of black and green teas due to its semi-fermentation...I'll cover that in another post!

Melissa, thank you for your comments and I'm afraid the origin of the natural organic packaging is a trade secret!

Cheers

I loved the Srina tea i received. I thought the flavor was more defined than the usual light flavored stuff from supermarkets (won't mention names). i love to have some tea before bed and this is great for relaxing before I go to sleep. Also a plus was the woven basket it came in I use it as a decorative container in bathrrom and I am looking to make a collection. I am also looking into possibly using these tea filled baskets as a patient giveaway for referrals. thanks, Silvia

I'd just like all to know that I myself have tried both tea's the Oolong is really nice and relaxing towards the narrowing down of my day. The Young Hyson is great for a morning boost and to keep you awake at work lol! I really enjoyed them both for there different flavors and all natural fiber packaging, which is very rear and hard to come by. I whole heartedly reccomed this wonderful product or else I would'nt have spent my time writting this comment unless I loved this tea : ) By Faith.F

Love the oolong. Great after a long night out...makes the haze go away and taste great too. Gotta love that 11.5 EGCG!!

Keep it up Srina!

Hey Matthew thanks for the complement! Oolong is my favorite as well and I’m glad to hear that the EGCG in the tea is helping you get rid of the post night out haze!
Friends of mine have experimented with a Chilled Oolong, Vodka-lime mix and say they love it but word to the wise, when drinking do so responsibly!

Back to the EGCG or Epigallocatechin-Gallate (Anti-oxidants)── our teas are certified by the Sri Lankan Tea Research Institute of having very high levels of these Polyphenols or Catechins, I’ll explain more about it in my next post.

Here’s the figures!
11.5 for the Oolong and 9.3 for the Young Hyson and they say for green tea to be considered healthy it needs to have a minimum of 7.1 EGCG!

Got a sample of your tea from a friend and like the taste.

Definitelydrinkable, not bitter. Always been a black tea fan, now I know thateven tea has caffeine so I have onlu 1 cup as I have a sensitivestomach but I heard that this brand is low in caffeine and decided togo with it.

I also noted that you have two brand which would you
rcommend?

Farhan
Peace!

Oh!! Nice packaging!

First of all thank you Silvia, Carlos, Faith and Farhan for all the positive feedback! Like Silvia, if any of our customers are interested in wholesale orders please don't hesitate to give us a call toll free at 1-888-777-4628 or 1-888-7srinaT for special prices and offers!

Farhan, the choice of which tea you would like is actually up to you. I personally have the Young Hyson as I wake up and then shift to the Oolong towards the end of the day but with regards to your question on caffeine, all teas whether black or green come from the Camellia sinensis plant and contain caffeine however the amounts of caffeine in any single serving of tea and say coffee beverages varies significantly. An average serving of coffee contains the most caffeine, yet the same serving size of tea provides only 1/2 to 1/3 as much.(Ref.: Caffeine by The Institute of Food Technologists' Expert Panel on Food Safety & Nutrition.) One of the more confusing aspects of caffeine content is the fact that coffee contains less caffeine than tea when measured in its dry form. The caffeine content of a prepared cup of coffee is significantly higher than the caffeine content of a prepared cup of tea.

Like you I too have a caffeine sensitive stomach so when I make myself a cup I use a pinch of Young Hyson or Oolong tea leaves, pour the hot water and let it brew. After 4 minutes I discard the first rinse which contains the caffeine (this is also referred to as the first flush) and then pour hot water once again into my cup with the same leaves for a second brew which I drink and its practically caffeine free. In fact I use the same leaves and repeat the above process for two more cups!

Try it out and see for yourself.

Peace out brother

Hi,

just wanted to say that I was never a fan of green tea because it was always too bitter for me but I was put on to your brand by a friend who visited your stall from your trade show in Cali and she said it would be good for joint pain??? Now I have always played a lot of Soccer and I'm not as young as I used to be so I'm usually very stiff after a game with a lot of joint pain. Its been a couple of months but I can honestly say that your green tea does help and it isn't bitter either. I always saw myself as a strong black tea drinker with lots of sugar and milk, not a very healthy combination but I do like your brand and have taken it up like a ritual would definitely recommend it to all my friends who are into athletics and also to loose weight!

Ciao
Rezu!

Hi "Citizen X" any relation to "Weapon X or Professor X???"

Sorry couldn't resist!!! Thanks for recommending our teas and a special thank you for your friend who visited our stall in California, maybe she can be a sales/advertising rep for us eh?

A friend of mine who does martial arts said something similar on the tea helping ease the pain sustained from long hours of training, he on the other hand does kick boxing! But I do agree with you, green tea does help a lot in reducing the pain and aches in joints and here is an article here from About.com

http://arthritis.about.com/od/preventionandriskfactors/a/greentea.htm

which states that it may help prevent or reduce the onset of arthritis. And believe me I know, I occasionally play defense and goalie, so my knees and elbows have taken quiet a pounding. Now I have to ask who is your favorite football... sorry Soccer team???

Mine is Chelesa!
