Unhealthy extras in your cup (Organic vs non organic teas)

Many people ask me-what’s the difference between Organic vs. non-organic tea? Pesticides, fungicides, and herbicides, harsh chemicals that end up in your teacup and ultimately in your body.

If you’re concerned about caffeine you need to know that plants that are fed nitrogen fertilizers have a higher caffeine content by up to 40 percent! Organic Sustainable

What can you do to protect yourself and your health?
Drink organically grown teas. SrinaTM green tea is certified organic by IMO & USDA. We use our own natural compost grown on Paradise Farm to improve the soil and maintain moisture which helps to make the SrinaTM tea leaves flourish.

So, the next time you order a delicious cup of tea be sure to insist on organically grown teas or you may be getting a few unhealthy extras in your cup!

Green tea give you an upset stomach?

Feeling nausea after drinking green tea? Tips for dealing with an upset stomach and green tea:

  • We recommend black tea for breakfast and green tea from brunch throughout the day.
  • Avoid drinking green tea on an empty stomach.
  • If you drink loose tea, brew it half-strength. Add not more than 2 to 3 grams of leaves per cup. Full-strength tea causes the stomach to secret more acid.
  • Drink tea in between meals. Avoid drinking tea with a meal or half an hour afterwards.
  • Avoid drinking tea with an empty stomach.
  • Drink tea with some ginger. Some people have found it soothes the stomach.
  • Add milk and sugar. A 1984 study found that milk and sugar reduce gastric acid production.
  • If you add milk, try using soya milk. A recent study about tea with milk found that animal milk contains casein that binds to catechins (the stuff that contains most of the tea antioxidants), reducing their effectiveness.
