Unhealthy extras in your cup (Organic vs non organic teas)

Many people ask me-what’s the difference between Organic vs. non-organic tea? Pesticides, fungicides, and herbicides, harsh chemicals that end up in your teacup and ultimately in your body.

If you’re concerned about caffeine you need to know that plants that are fed nitrogen fertilizers have a higher caffeine content by up to 40 percent! Organic Sustainable

What can you do to protect yourself and your health?
Drink organically grown teas. SrinaTM green tea is certified organic by IMO & USDA. We use our own natural compost grown on Paradise Farm to improve the soil and maintain moisture which helps to make the SrinaTM tea leaves flourish.

So, the next time you order a delicious cup of tea be sure to insist on organically grown teas or you may be getting a few unhealthy extras in your cup!

Green tea give you an upset stomach?

Feeling nausea after drinking green tea? Tips for dealing with an upset stomach and green tea:

  • We recommend black tea for breakfast and green tea from brunch throughout the day.
  • Avoid drinking green tea on an empty stomach.
  • If you drink loose tea, brew it half-strength. Add not more than 2 to 3 grams of leaves per cup. Full-strength tea causes the stomach to secret more acid.
  • Drink tea in between meals. Avoid drinking tea with a meal or half an hour afterwards.
  • Avoid drinking tea with an empty stomach.
  • Drink tea with some ginger. Some people have found it soothes the stomach.
  • Add milk and sugar. A 1984 study found that milk and sugar reduce gastric acid production.
  • If you add milk, try using soya milk. A recent study about tea with milk found that animal milk contains casein that binds to catechins (the stuff that contains most of the tea antioxidants), reducing their effectiveness.

Introduction

Hi everyone, Kim McDaniels, Srina Tea virtual assistant, writing to introduce myself. A bit about me and my role with Srina...I work with the team doing all sorts of things from writing, to product marketing/sales, keeping Monaqui organized and on and on. All while sipping a cup of our delicious tea. Today it's Young Hyson with Ginger...yummy! Perks me right up and comforts at the same time. If you haven't tried the flavored teas yet....well you must! Also, if you haven't completed your Mother's Day gift shopping, there is still time to order some tea and our new thermal cup for that on-the-go Mom. No matter what her age, green tea is so good for your mom and is a thoughtful/caring gift. Here is the webpage if you want to order: http://www.srina.com/srinastore.htm
What are you doing for your Mom this Mother's Day? Let us know your ideas!

Here is a tea tip for sharing with Mom on her special day:

Change the leaves often in order to get the full benefits of tea. It is important to change the tea leaves frequently and do not keep drinking the tea from the same leaves. If you drink 6-7 small cups a day of only the first and second servings of tea, you will be sure to feel the full effects of the tea catechins.

Until later...

Kim
